Tropical Storm Ernesto Strengthens as it Heads for Yucatan!

Tropical Storm Ernesto’s Projected Path via The Weather Channel

Tropical Storm Ernesto has been fore-casted to become a hurricane, according to the weather channel, and for this reason hurricane warnings have already been posted for portions of the Yucatan Peninsula. According to weather updates, through Tuesday, Ernesto is fore-casted to pass off the coast of Honduras and make its way towards the Yucatan Peninsula (Mexico/Belize) where they expect it to make landfall late Tuesday night into early Wednesday. Residents of Belize and adjacent portions of Mexico should be prepared for a hurricane.

After moving across Yucatan, Ernesto may emerge into the far southwestern Gulf of Mexico late in the week before heading into Northern Mexico.

Please remember that a Tropical Storm/Hurricane “warning” is issued when either the Tropical Storm or Hurricane conditions are expected within 36 hours.

Tropical Storm/Hurricane “watch” is issued when either the Tropical Storm or Hurricane conditions are possible within 48 hours.
